Asya śrīmahāgaṇapati mahāmantrasya gaṇaka r̥ṣiḥ nicr̥dgāyatrī chandaḥ mahāgaṇapatirdēvatā ōṁ gaṁ bījaṁ svāhā śaktiḥ glauṁ kīlakaṁ mahāgaṇapatiprītyarthē japē viniyōgaḥ |
Karan'yāsaḥ –
ōṁ gāṁ aṅguṣṭhābhyāṁ namaḥ | śrīṁ gīṁ tarjanībhyāṁ namaḥ | hrīṁ gūṁ madhyamābhyāṁ namaḥ | klīṁ gaiṁ anāmikābhyāṁ namaḥ | glauṁ gauṁ kaniṣṭhikābhyāṁ namaḥ | gaṁ gaḥ karatalakarapr̥ṣṭhābhyāṁ namaḥ |
Hr̥dayādin'yāsaḥ –
ōṁ gāṁ hr̥dayāya namaḥ | śrīṁ gīṁ śirasē svāhā | hrīṁ gūṁ śikhāyai vaṣaṭ | klīṁ gaiṁ kavacāya hum | glauṁ gauṁ nētratrayāya vauṣaṭ | gaṁ gaḥ astrāya phaṭ | bhūrbhuvas'suvarōṁ iti digbandhaḥ |
Dhyānaṁ –
bījāpūragadēkṣukārmukarujācakrābjapāśōtpala- -vrīhyagrasvaviṣāṇaratnakalaśaprōdyatkarāmbhōruhaḥ | dhyēyō vallabhayā sapadmakarayāఽఽśliṣṭō jvaladbhūṣayā viśvōtpattivipattisansthitikarō vighnēśa iṣṭārthadaḥ ||
Lamityādi pan̄capūjā –
laṁ pr̥thivyātmakaṁ gandhaṁ samarpayāmi | haṁ ākāśātmakaṁ puṣpaṁ samarpayāmi | yaṁ vāyvātmakaṁ dhūpamāghrāpayāmi | raṁ agn'yātmakaṁ dīpaṁ darśayāmi | vaṁ amr̥tātmakaṁ amr̥tōpahāraṁ nivēdayāmi |
mūlamantraḥ –
ōṁ śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ glauṁ gaṁ gaṇapatayē varavarada sarvajanaṁ mē vaśamānaya svāhā |
Hr̥dayādin'yāsaḥ –

The final line, bhūrbhuvas'suvarōṁ iti digbandhaḥ, is a prayer for divine protection in all directions, and it is known as the digbandhaḥ.
Dhyanaṁ – Meditation Verse
Bija-pura-gaddeekshu-karma-mukaru-jaacakra-abja-paasha-utpala-vrihi-agrasva-vishaana-ratna-kalasha-prodyat-kara-ambho-ruhaḥ |
- The Lord's hands are adorned with a sugarcane bow, arrows, noose, goad, a discus, a lotus, rice grains, and gems. He is seated on a lotus flower.
Dhyeyo vallabhaya sapadma-karayaa shlishto jvalad-bhooshayaa |
- He who is worshipped by His devotees, has a lotus in His hand, is adorned with ornaments that blaze forth and is fond of His consort.
Vishvotpatti-vipatti-sansthitikaaro vighnesho 'stu-te-artha-daḥ ||
- May that Lord Ganesha, who creates, sustains and dissolves the universe, who removes all obstacles and grants auspiciousness, be pleased with me.
Lamityādi pan̄capūjā –
Gandha (fragrance): The first line "lam prithivyatmakaṁ gandhaṁ samarpayami" means "I offer fragrant sandalwood paste to Lord Ganesha, who is the essence of the earth."
Pushpa (flowers): The second line "ham akashatmakaṁ pushpam samarpayami" means "I offer flowers to Lord Ganesha, who is the essence of the sky."
Dhupa (incense): The third line "yam vayvatmakaṁ dhupamaghraapayami" means "I offer incense to Lord Ganesha, who is the essence of the wind."
Dipa (lamp): The fourth line "ram agnyatmakaṁ dipam darshayami" means "I offer a lamp to Lord Ganesha, who is the essence of fire."
Naivedya (food): The fifth line "vam amritatmakaṁ amritopaharam nivedayami" means "I offer food to Lord Ganesha, who is the essence of nectar."
This stotram is a simple way to perform puja to Lord Ganesha and seek his blessings.
Samarpaṇaṁ-
- "O protector of secrets beyond the secret, please accept this mantra japa performed by me. May success come to me, O Deva, by your grace. May peace prevail"
