saṅgītayōginī śyāmā śyāmalā mantranāyikā |
mantriṇī sacivēśī ca pradhānēśī śukapriyā || 1 ||

vīṇāvatī vaiṇikī ca mudriṇī priyakapriyā |
nīpapriyā kadambēśī kadambavanavāsinī || 2 ||

sadāmadā ca nāmāni ṣōḍaśaitāni kumbhaja |
ētairyaḥ sacivēśānīṁ sakr̥t stauti śarīravān |

tasya trailōkyamakhilaṁ hastē tiṣṭhatyasaṁśayam || 3 ||

Meaning

Shyamala Shodasha Nama Stotram is a prayer in praise of the goddess Shyamala. The stotram is believed to be from the Lalitopakhyana section of the Brahmānda Purana

1. The first verse is a salutation to the goddess Shyamala, who is the leader of the yoginis and the ruler of the mantras.
   She is also the chief minister and the beloved of Lord Shuka.
